How is a candidate's years of experience calculated?

In Get on Board’s recruiting process for companies, Superpower AI can show an estimated years-of-experience value for each applicant when the job has Superpower enabled. It is a signal to help filter applicants, not a verified data point.

How the value is inferred

Superpower AI reads the work history text in the CV and, when available, application details to infer total professional experience. This is not a self-reported field, so the result depends on how dates and roles are written.

Why the value can change

If a candidate uploads a newer CV, the extracted years of experience can update. Gaps, overlapping roles, freelance projects, or unusual formatting can affect accuracy.

How to use it

Use years of experience to filter and sort, but confirm the details in the CV and the application answers before making a final decision.
